وذلك ضمن جهود المركز لتعزيز التعاون بين المبادرات الثقافية والمجلس النيابي ودعم المشاريع الوطنية الهادفة إلى إحياء الهوية الحضارية وتنشيط القطاع السياحي.
وخلال اللقاء، استعرض الوفد أبرز إنجازات المركز والموقع
وفي كلمة لمؤسس موقع تاريخ العراق الإلكتروني السيباوي اكد أن:
“موقع تاريخ العراق الإلكتروني هو ملك لجميع العراقيين، وليس ملكًا فرديًا، وإن كانت الجهود التي أُسِّس بها فردية، فإن الهدف منه هو حفظ تاريخ العراق بدقة وموضوعية ليكون مصدرًا موثوقًا لأجيال العراق القادمة.”
وشدد السيباوي على أهمية ضم الموقع إلى إحدى الدوائر الرسمية أو تبنيه ضمن مشروع وطني لضمان استمراريته وتطويره وفق معايير مؤسساتية تحفظ المصداقية والهوية العراقية.
من جانبها، ثمّنت النائبة نهال الشمري هذا الطرح، وأبدت إعجابها الكبير بالموقع والمركز، مؤكدة دعمها الكامل للموقع سواء من خلال الجهات الرسمية أو حتى على المستوى الفردي، مشيرةً إلى أهمية هذه المبادرات في بناء جبهة ثقافية وطنية رصينة.
واختتم اللقاء بتأكيد الطرفين على أهمية الاستمرار في هذا التعاون، وفتح آفاق جديدة للشراكة مع الجهات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، بما يسهم في صون تراث العراق العظيم وإيصاله بأمانة إلى العالم وإلى الأجيال القادمة.

On May 22, 2025, the Iraq History Website and the Future of Iraq Tourism Center were hosted by Member of Parliament Nihal Al-Shammari, as part of the center’s efforts to enhance collaboration between cultural initiatives and the Iraqi Parliament, and to support national projects aimed at reviving Iraq’s historical identity and activating the tourism sector.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the center’s and the website’s most prominent achievements.
In a statement by the founder of the Iraq History Website, Mousa Al-Sibawi, he affirmed:
“The Iraq History Website belongs to all Iraqis — it is not a personal possession. While it was founded through individual efforts, its true mission is to preserve the history of Iraq with precision and objectivity, making it a reliable source for future generations of Iraqis.”
Al-Sibawi emphasized the importance of incorporating the website into an official government body or adopting it as a national project to ensure its sustainability and development in line with institutional standards that safeguard both credibility and Iraqi identity.
In turn, MP Nihal Al-Shammari commended this vision and expressed great admiration for both the website and the center. She pledged her full support for the project, whether through official channels or on a personal level, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in building a strong and unified national cultural front.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continued cooperation and the exploration of new partnerships with government agencies and civil society organizations, in order to protect Iraq’s great heritage and pass it on faithfully to the world and to future generations.
